Buddhist Society of La Trobe University

We aim to invigorate and develop Buddhist practice on campus. We are non-sectarian, open to Buddhists of all streams (Theravada: Way of the Elders, Mahayana: Great Vehicle, Vajrayana: diamond vehicle) and anyone genuinely interested in Buddhism. If you are Buddhist, or would like to find out more about Buddhism, please join us. Contact us at this email: buddhistsocietyltu@yahoo.com.au

Important notice - class postponed

Hi everyone,

A friendly reminder that the Buddhist course is not running for the next two Fridays as this Friday (2nd April) is Good Friday and the university is closed. The following Friday is in the mid semester break.

Classes resume on Friday, the 16th April.

See you then!

Get-together - a friendly reminder!

Just a reminder that the LTU Buddhist Society get-together is on:

Every Tuesday
1pm to 2pm
Union building, Function Room 3, (next to Ping's cafe).

It is a great opportunity to meet your fellow Buddhist bothers and sisters, to discuss Buddhism, future events and help each other in your daily practice. Please feel free to bring along some snacks to share.

See you there :)

O-Week - Semester 1, 2010

Orientation Week at La Trobe University

The Orientation week is an exciting chance for first-year students to become familiar with the campus, facilities and meet fellow students and staff. This year's O-week was no exception with the fantastic weather for Clubs and Societies of LTU to offer new and current students the opportunity to join their clubs. The Buddhist Society was there too! We meet some very nice people and had a great time chatting with everyone.

Here are just some photos taken from our booth situated nicely in front of the bookshop on Thursday, 25th Feb, during O-Week.

We had chairs this year!
